As electronic and quartz watches begangrowing in popularity throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, Bulova continued toforge ahead with innovations. Bulova catered to the era's growing demandfor digital timekeepers by adding a line of Accuquartz watches with digital LCDtime displays, and eventually, the all-digital Computron LED, with its veryunconventional and (at the time) somewhat futuristic trapezoidal case with LEDdisplay on the side. This style is often called a "drivers'watch" because its layout enables a driver to check the time withoutmoving his wrist from the steering wheel; in the case of the Computron, theangled time display — the wearer would press the command button once for thetime, and again for the date — also addressed the problem of glare from directsunlight impairing the visibility on an LED watch. 

This is a very rare version of this watch, since most Cell 228 areN6 this is the first I have seen with N7. This is a great looking watch for itage, looks great.
